In a heavy frost, a street cat once approached the window of a fire station hoping for assistance. A firefighter from the Canadian city of Steinbach was surprised to see a little cat looking out the window at him as he drove by.
On a chilly evening, she was positioned in front of the window. When one of the firefighters came out, she sprinted over to him. The cat did not budge from its position beneath the window. She was in an awkward situation and had nowhere to go.
Firefighters allowed the cat inside because they were concerned it may freeze if left outside in the cold at night. The warmth made it easier to see the cat, which was hungry and dirty.
The cat, on the other hand, gave a short purr in response. The fire chief Kelvin volunteered to temporarily shelter it as he already had four cats at home. The next day, he took her to the vet for an examination and gave her the name Amber.
The cat was deemed to be in fair health by the vet, with the exception of some little frostbite on the ends of its ears.
“In the hopes that she would be located, I put her picture and account on Facebook. After many days passed with no response, we took her back to the veterinarian where she had her shot and ear mites were found, which we treated right away. The examinations didn’t seem to bother Amber at all, and she seemed to enjoy the human interaction. She was scheduled to be at work, but there was a holiday.
They subsequently made the choice to locate her a long-term home. Kelvin said, “We posted her images on Facebook and it seems like we’ve already found her a home.
