The dog approached the cow and started to lick him after months of joyously waiting on a stone barrier to see each other. After a few months, a golden retriever and a cow that had never met before grew close.
In August 2020, as the lockdown was being eased, Blanaid May went out on a stroll with her Cockapoo when she spotted a dog cuddling a calf at a neighboring farm.
The golden retriever had met the calf cow for the first time six months earlier. The pet subsequently disappeared for three months, according to her. When the calf returned, they reestablished contact. The dog was looking forward to the calf’s arrival.
