Two-year-old Bamboo lives in California with his human parents. He holds a yellow toy with the utmost care because it is his favorite and he is not ready to part with it. Ana got pregnant not long after Bamboo first appeared.
The dog’s behavior has drastically altered. He very definitely slept on the floor next to me if I didn’t drive him away. I then began to feel upset with him for acting that way. But now I see why he was keeping an eye on me and in charge of the house.
The family decided without second thought whether to introduce Bamboo to Kaleb right away or after he was born. Bamboo was waiting to greet the mother and child as soon as they came out of the hospital. Bamboo was aware of the responsibilities he was given from the beginning. He made a conscious effort to keep Kaleb in his line of sight and not stray from him.
Bamboo’s fast intuition on how to calm Kaleb down shocked the boy’s parents. Without pausing, he went into the other room and returned bearing his most prized present for the youngster: a soft, yellow ball.
