A little, ill puppy was kept in a carport behind an apartment building in St. Louis.
For years, residents dumped furniture and other unwanted objects into the garage without realizing there was a furry occupant there. Despite being used to such a life, Chowder prayed for a miracle. Chowder once had a miracle happen to him when he was found by a kind guy on a rainy day. He fed and watered the puppy, and he was surprised by Chowder’s confidence in him:
When I was close enough, Chowder rushed out to welcome me. He is a genuinely kind guy. The man continues, “He was relieved that someone was nice to him.
To arrange for Chowder’s care, the guy also contacted Stray Rescue, and a volunteer showed up right away to pick up the puppy. This youngster too had faith in the rescuers, and they were able to deliver him safely to the haven. Chowder clung to the volunteer the entire time they were in the car as if he wanted to express his sincere gratitude to her for saving him.
And in the shelter, this child opened up even more; it was clear in his eyes that he was ecstatic to have been saved.
Veterinarians found and started treating the dog’s severe eye infection. When Chowder had calmed down a bit and was no longer anxious, they sent him to his temporary residence.
Chowder is a fantastic young man who is well-mannered, affectionate, and appreciative.
He has been given a new life after everything he has experienced, and he now enjoys absolute protection and compassion. Once he’s recovered, they’ll start looking for the baby’s long-term owners.
