The man went to clean up his boat one morning before the season started. He noticed a small bulge in the corner as soon as he took off the tarpaulin, and it started to squeak.
“My husband came upon this abandoned young child while cleaning the boat. According to Louise Scofield, “He took it into the home.”
The family lives in a city where there is a colony of feral cats. The cat they found was later found to have been born in a nearby garage with his brothers.
“The garage owner is a big cat lover and feeds the neighborhood cats every day. A few days after it was born, one of the kittens was found dead in the driveway. The owner of the garage hurried outside to look for the remaining kittens, but they appeared to have disappeared. Since the mother cat could not be found, he concluded that she had died along with the rest of the litter. Just before the Scofield’s found one baby in their boat, all of this took place.
People realized he would die if they left him alone. They then took the kitten to themselves and began to feed it. Every two hours, they gave him food and kept him warm. We raised him like our own child and gave him our whole attention. We fed him, helped him use the restroom, and petted him. In general, Louise remembers, “They did everything his mother would have done.”
“This is the cutest cat I’ve ever seen,” someone said. He wants to lie on our heads, faces, necks, and knees all the time. It constantly runs at high speeds with its roaring motor.
Whisker enjoys dozing off on the shoulder of his foster father.
