A dog had an unusual litter of 14 puppies: It’s incredible. It’s wonderful. There are few things sweeter than a newborn small puppy, therefore it’s always exciting when a dog produces a litter.
The dog’s owner was shocked when a French bulldog recently gave birth to a litter, possibly breaking the record for the largest number of puppies ever born.
As the delivery time approached, the dog’s owner saw that the dog was larger than the ordinary pregnant dog, but he or she did not foresee anything strange happening.
Given that French Bulldogs typically only give birth to three puppies at a time. Having seven puppies is exceedingly exceptional, having six or seven children would have been a surprise in and of itself. Everyone was amazed when this bulldog’s mother gave birth to 14 puppies.
The dog’s owner asserts that the puppy litter must “be a record in the United States.”
All 14 puppies will eventually get new homes. Most dogs only have a few puppies at a time. There are rare situations where canines give birth to more than a dozen puppies all at once.
